WATCH THE RED KITES SOAR..
Sleeps 6 | 7 night stay minimum in Summer | 3 night stay minimum in Winter
The first lodge to be built, Red Kite, is the original Big Sky Lodge, and has the best views on the croft. It’s named after the several pairs of Red Kite birds of prey that can often be seen flying overhead in search of breakfast.
With a pitched roof and warm log walls, the main bedroom is a cosy space, perfect for your well-deserved slumber after a hard day on the hills. With a comfy king bed to dive into, crisp Egyptian cotton linen, warm wool blankets and cushions, plus a little en-suite bathroom tucked under the eaves. The bedroom leads to a private balcony, ideal for a peaceful morning coffee as you watch the Red Kites soar. (Pre-order when you book or pop up to the Big Sky shop for some excellent locally roasted coffee from the Inverness Coffee roasting co.)
The two twin rooms, one upstairs and one down, are great for kids or a couple of friends, and we can supply a comfy cot and high chair for the littlest family member. There’s another spacious bathroom downstairs and plenty of room in the hallway for muddy boots and coats. A big deck outside has plenty of room for relaxing with an outdoor dining table and there’s one of Jonny’s brilliant hand made fire pit areas in the garden. Marshmallow’s at the ready!
