Property Details

Piper’s Wood lodge is so named for a wooded area across the field where legend has it as ghostly Piper can sometimes be heard playing. (Or it could just be Big Sky founder Angus practicing for Burns night!) It also has a spacious garden, wonderful views and happens to be right next to our wee blue woodshed, handy for collecting firewood to stoke your woodburner.

The master bedroom has a comfy king bed, private balcony and cosy Tartan Blanket co. recycled blankets, just the thing for a wee dram after dinner and a spot of stargazing on a clear night. There’s very little light pollution out here on the croft and we love to count the stars and occasionally spot the Northern lights in the depths of winter. Excellent views over the croft and a spacious garden where you can chat to the Highland coos over the hedge. There’s plenty of seating out on the deck plus a charcoal BBQ perfect for an all-fresco dinner. The two twin rooms, one upstairs and one down, are great for kids or a couple of friends, with fun cushions and a wee library of interesting books and bedtime stories. There’s another spacious bathroom downstairs and plenty of room in the hallway for muddy boots and coats.
