About Big Sky Lodges

Big Sky Lodges is a family run business which offers six warm and cosy log cabins in the Highlands of Scotland, each one unique with plenty of homely touches to make it a special place. We offer our guests plenty of privacy but if you need us we are only a phone call away.

What’s included

Included in the price of rental is all linen, towels, electricity, oil central heating, logs for the stove and normal cleaning at the end of your stay.

Each Lodge sleeps up to six guests. We don’t accept hen or stag parties or groups of guests aged under 25.

If you cancel your holiday your payment(s) will only be refunded if we can re-book your log cabin. A £25 administration fee will be deducted from any refund. We strongly recommend that you take out an insurance policy (usually available through a travel agent or insurance broker) to cover the cost of cancellation of your holiday by you for any reason. We cannot move your booking to an alternative date.

Refunds will not be available if you are unable to travel to Big Sky Lodges due to weather related or Government imposed travel restrictions. If your booking has been affected by the 2020 Coronaviris official Government lockdown we can issue a Big Sky Lodges holiday credit voucher or you can use your previous payment towards a change of date (subject to availability).

The nearest shops are in Muir of Ord which is five minute drive from Big Sky Lodges. There is a Co-Op supermarket, a Spar and good quality butchers. There is a filling station with shop, chemist, a chippy and carry out tandoori.

Dingwall is about six miles away. There is a Tesco supermarket here but the smaller shops in the Main street are worth a visit; especially Deas for bread and rolls; Munros or Frasers for butcher meat.

Inverness is only ten miles from Big Sky Lodges and has a shopping mall and high street, cafes, restaurants, a cinema, theatre and lots of giant supermarkets. Most of the best restaurants are by the river.

The Ord Arms in Muir of Ord or the Lovat Arms in Beauly are the closest to Big Sky Lodges
For local beers, great food and live music we highly recommend The Anderson in Fortrose, The Allangrange Arms in Munlochy or Hootannany’s and The Black Isle bar in Inverness.

See our restaurant page for details of local places to eat.
